Hilaria Baldwin, who welcomed baby No. 6, follows surrogacy company on IG - Page Six

Hilaria and Alec Baldwin revealed their baby girl’s name on Tuesday, but one mystery still remains: Was she born via a surrogate?

The timeline of baby Lucia’s birth has been a major talking point since Hilaria, 37, and Alec, 62, announced on Monday that they welcomed their sixth child just five months after their second youngest, Eduardo, was born.

When pressed for further details, the couple’s rep told Page Six, “We’re still not issuing a statement or confirming anything — what she posted stands.”

Although the Baldwins are keeping quiet on sharing how their littlest “Baldwinito” came into this world, fans on social media noticed that Hilaria does follow a surrogacy agency — that has offices in New York — called Alcea Surrogacy on Instagram.

Coincidentally, the company congratulated one of their “IPs,” which stands for intended parents, on the “amazing birth of their daughter” just days before Alec and Hilaria shared the first photo of baby Lucia.

Page Six was unable to confirm whether Hilaria and Alec used Alcea Surrogacy to welcome their sixth child. A rep for the company and the Baldwins did not immediately return our requests for comment.

Alec and Hilaria live in Manhattan with their newborn and other five children, 5-month-old son Eduardo, 2-year-old son Romeo Alejandro David, 4-year-old son Leonardo Ángel Charles, 5-year-old son Rafael Thomas and 7-year-old daughter Carmen Gabriela.

However, it is also possible that Hilaria follows the account because she interviewed Alcea Surrogacy’s co-founder, Angela Richardson-Mook, on her “Mom Brain” podcast back in November.

In the interview, Richardson-Mook praised Hilaria for being so open about the difficulties of pregnancy loss after suffering two miscarriages in 2019.

“I see Hilaria be so raw and vulnerable in regards to her own losses,” the executive director said. “The more times and the more people of influence that speak out about, the just …devastation of loss. What it leads to is maybe hope.”

Although Hilaria has been outspoken about her pregnancies in the past, she has not disclosed many details about Lucia’s birth. In that interview with Richardson-Mook, she spoke about the “fear” some may experience that “people won’t see you as the mother if you used a surrogate,” but she did not state whether she had ever used one.

“But then you really think about, not just those nine months, but all the sleepless nights, all the vomiting on you, the school, all these lessons . . . all the other experiences that make you a mother and father,” she added.

Richardson-Mook pointed out that this is not an easy decision for parents and that it takes parents on average about 50 months to work through the surrogacy process.

If this was the case for Hilaria and Alec, then they would have delved into surrogacy long before she became pregnant with Eduardo.

“It all comes down to mom guilt,” Hilaria said on her podcast. “Am I worth this? Is it a risk I’m willing to take — on both sides?”

On social media, a fan questioned Alec on the birth of his child, writing, “Who’s the mother? She wasn’t pregnant. She gave birth six months ago. If it was a surrogate just say that.”

He snapped back, “You should shut the f–k up and mind your own business.”
